This kit has been intentionally curated to provide your older child, teen, or young adult with a variety of sensory and grounding tools and strategies to call upon when their anxiety rises. Through the use of each item within this toolkit, older kids will find themselves anchored back to the present moment.
It is in learning how to effectively apply these tools, that children/young adults are empowered to take ownership and responsibility of their emotions, potential triggers, and behaviors. Thus helping to set your child up with lifelong coping skills.
Each kit includes 8 unique fidgets, a "feelings chart" based on the Zones of Regulation curriculum, a set of "coping cards," and a 3-minute sand timer. In addition, each kit comes with written instructions and a special QR code that directs the user to video instructions. All elements of this kit have been designed by professional artist, and Katie Not Afraidy illustrator, Kristina Yu.
Latches keep lid attached and contents secure. Recommended for children 10 years and older. Appropriate for teens and adults, too!
